After suffering congestive heart failure for years, Woody was the recipient of a healthy heart donated by Bojan Kalezic shortly after his unexpected and tragic passing early in September 2016. Bojan was a twenty-six year old deep thinker and writer who is sorely missed by his family and friends. Woody found it most difficult to find the words to describe his emotions regarding the most valuable gift ever given to anyone. During his recovery he created this multimedia sculpture to honor Bojan. The figure ponders a gold leafed heart in his hand. The piece is presently displayed at the Regional Heart Center in the University of Washington Health Center in the hope that it may inspire patients and encourage donors. Thank you Bojan.
